Landless and homeless families in Tarash of Sirajganj are counting the days waiting to get semi-finished houses. On the occasion of Mujib Year, a total of 152 landless and homeless families in Tarash upazila of Sirajganj district of Rajshahi division are going to get semi-finished houses made of bricks.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mejbaul Karim has done this for the landless and homeless families by joining Tarash.
In the meantime, he has succeeded in gifting disaster-proof houses to homeless and landless families on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and fulfilling the pledge of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mejbaul Karim said the work of 152 houses has been completed 90%. On January 23, 2021, the Hon’ble Prime Minister will hand over this house to the landless and homeless families all over the country.
On the same day, 1 semi-finished house and house documents will be handed over to 152 landless and homeless families of Tarash Upazila.
The program has been implemented at a cost of Taka 1 lakh 75 thousand under the direct supervision of Tarash Upazila Executive Officer with the help of Sirajganj District Relief and Rehabilitation Department.
Upazila administration officials, employees and union land assistant officers have cooperated to complete the work.
