Quantum Foundation, a voluntary blood donation organisation, has honoured 150 blood donors.
The foundation had played a live-saving role of over six lakh people by organizing voluntary blood donation programme.
The function was held at the Jatiya Press Club (JPC) auditorium in the city on Friday morning with chief coordinator of the foundation Nahar Al Bokhari in the chair.
University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman Prof Dr AK Azad Chowdhury also spoke as the chief guest.
Dr AK Azad welcomed the voluntary blood donation programme initiated by the Quantum Foundation.
Prof Dr A B M Younus, honorary director of Quantum Foundation and chairman of the Hematology Department of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), gave the welcome address at the function.
