Pilferage of RMG products from exportable container: 15 Port employees sent to jail

 A court in Chittagong in a order sent to jail of 15 former employees of Chittagong Port for alleged pilferage of readymade garments products from a exportable container from the port shed. Metropolitan Magistrate of Chittagong Court Farida Parvin announced this order on Wednesday while the absconding port employees surrendered before the court on Wednesday .
Deputy Asstt Director of Anti-corruption Commission Sirajul filed this corruption case before the Bandar thana on February 27 last against 17 employees of the port for the pilferage of exportable garments productsCourt sources said these alleged employees took away the 90 bells of garments products from a countainer stored in No.1 shed of the port breaking the lock of the container in between February 1 to 12 last. Special PP of ACC in Chittagong Advocate Mahmudul Hoque said out of 17, 15 employees obtained ad-interim bail from the High court and after expiry of bail these employees surrendered before the lower court in Chittagong and thereafter the court rejecting the bail prayer sent them to jail custody.
 The 15 accused employees are former senior assistants Humayun Kabir, Adhir Chakraborty, Pradip Kumar, Mostafizur Rahman, & shamal Kumer , former junior assistant Md. Atiqur, former Traffic inspector Saleh Jahur, former security guards Sirajul Hoque, Ali Azam Chowshury, Monir Ahmed, Kamaluddin Chowdhury, Nazrul Islam and Sagir Ahmed and former ASI of security Department Harun chy and Mizanur Rahman, court sources said.
