At least 15 students of Jahangirnagar University (JU) were injured on study tour at a sudden road crash at Chimbuk road near Nilgiri on Tuesday.
Proctor Prof Tapan Kumar Shaha confirmed that, the accident happened at about 11am at Para area leaving at least 5 students seriously injured among 15 injured students.
Witnesses said, students of Chemistry Department at the university started their journey to visit Nilgiri by a rented zip. Suddenly, their zip collided with another zip coming from opposite side. Both the zips fell into a road side ditch after collision.
Locals rushed them to Bandarban Sadar Hospital and Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
