Chittagong Bureau :Chittagong Detective Branch police rounded up 15 persons including two Chhatra League leaders in the city following the alleged attack on police members . These alleged persons were rounded up from Sher Shah colony area under Baizid thana on Thursday night. They were rounded up following a case filed with the respective police station onchange of attack on police members. Asstt. Police Commissioner of DB Md. Mainuddin told that these persons attacked police with illegal arms and carrying of arms in brought daylight, police arrested the local Chhatra League leaders viz. Mehedi Hasan Badal Raja Miah and 13 others. Police sources said following the dominancy over the area, a clash between the two councillor candidates erupted on Thursday afternoon last leaving atleast 10 persons injured in it. Police instantly ordered to arrest the terrorist Badal and Raja Miah. Sources said Mehedi Hasan Badal is the student of Ctg Polytechnic College and former President of college BCL unit and Raja Miah is the vice president of present committee of Chhatra sangsad of CPC. Police sources further said Mehedi Hasan led the attack on the convoy of BNP leader Wahidul Alam while on election campaigned for Manzoor Alam and a case was also filed against Mehedi Hasan earlier.
