Chittagong Bureau :
Anti- smuggling team of Bangladesh Navy rescued 15 Malaysian-bound people and detained three manpower trafficking agents from the outer anchorage of the Chittagong port early yesterday.
Navy sources said that on suspicion, the team intercepted a fishing trawler and another engine-run boat in outer anchorage area near to the Sangu River around 1:05am.
After searching the boats, navy personnel rescued 15 Malaysian-boundfortune seekers and nabbed three trafficking agent from there.
Quoting the victims, a Navy officer told that they left Pategna of the port city for Malaysia sailing on the boat and trawler around 12:00am o f Wednesday.
