Anti-smuggling vigilance team of Bangladesh Navy rounded up 15 fortune seekers aimed at migrating to Malaysia from outer berth area of Chittagong port on Wednesday .
These fortune seekers were detained at about 3 am yesterday .
Navy sources said acting on secret information over voyage of 15 fortune seekers to Malaysia through illegal water ways , naval forces conducted raid in the outer berth and managed to apprehend them alongwith the laden engine boat.
The detained persons have been handed over to Bandar thana and filing of case now under process till writing this report, sources said.
Book Fair begins : In observance of the Amar Ekushey and International Mother Language day , Chittagong city Corporation will launch a 10-day long book fair at Muslim Institute square in city from today.
City Mayor Manzoor Alam will inaugurate the book fair through hoisting national flag at the fair venue at about 4 pm as chief guest. The book fair will also include discussion meeting, open cultural functions duly participated by the school and college students, dance sequences by children and juveniles, presentation of songs of folk songs, nazrul giti, Rabindra sangit , poem recitation, debating, drawing competition, etc and distribution of honorary crests .
Convenor of the fair , councilor Jahar Lal Hazari requested all to attend the book fair , a ccc release said.
