The Peninsula, Doha :
Fifteen Britain MPs have signed a petition demanding the UK government to put pressure on siege countries for immediate lifting of siege imposed on Qatar and have urged the blockading nations to respond to Kuwait’s mediation to resolve the crisis, said QNHRC.
The British parliamentary delegation, which
visited Doha from September 27 to 29, 2017, has also called on the UK’s Foreign Minister Boris Johnson to pressure his counterparts of the blockading countries to put an end to the worsening human rights violations caused by the continuation of the crisis. Upon its return to London, the delegation issued a report included its findings following its visit to Doha about the impact of the blockade since June 5. The delegation, led by Labour Party member Graham Morse, met 100 of the siege victims and heard their testimonies.
