Police rounded up 15 persons on charge of their involvement in selling tickets for an unauthorized lottery game entitled “Dainik Provat Surma Raffle Draw” from different areas of Netrakona district town in the last two days.
Police sources here said, acting on a telephonic information, a police team of Netrakona sadar thana conducted an operation and caught them red-handed when they were selling tickets by making publicity using microphones.
The lottery game was arranged by a group of influential persons on the commercial fair ground

The lottery game was arranged by a group of influential persons on the commercial fair ground
which began on January 11 at Netrakona Chandranath College for one month.
Meanwhile local people expressed their dissatisfaction for launching the unauthorized lottery game and making widespread publicity using loudspeakers as the lottery game drew the attention of many school children and young generation.
Local people complained that the lottery game might have negative impact on the mind-set of school children and young generation.
