The fourteenth session of 11th parliament was prorogued on Thursday after a total of seventh sittings as the brief session begun on first day of this month following all the necessary health guidelines amid corona pandemic.
Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury read out the prorogation order of the president.
Jatiya Sangsad leader Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina delivered her concluding speech at the closing session. Deputy leader of the opposition in the parliament Golam Mohammad Quaderalso give his closing speech at the session.
At the closing session, a total of nine bills were placed in this brief session which was ultimately wrap up due to the intensive outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Along with the legal procedure, a total of 32 important notices under section 71 of the rules of procedure were received.
During the question answer session, only 389 questions were answered by the ministers under different ministries with some 584 questions were received for the session.
