A team of 140-members of Bangladesh Police left Dhaka for Bamako, the capital of Mali, on Friday night on a special flight of Bangladesh Biman to carry out the United Nations’ Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA).

A team of 140-members of Bangladesh Police left Dhaka for Bamako, the capital of Mali, on Friday night on a special flight of Bangladesh Biman to carry out the United Nations’ Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA).
Commander (Superintendent of Police) Belal Uddin leads 70 members in the seventh rotation of the Bangladesh Formed Police Unit (BANFPU-1) and Commander (Superintendent of Police) Muhammad Abdul Wahab
leads identical number of members in the third rotation of the BANFPU-2, said a press release on Saturday.
Deputy Inspector General (Welfare) Md Bashir Uddin Ahmed and officials of the UN Affairs Operations Wing were present at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport during their departure.
Members of the Bangladesh Police have been serving in the UN peacekeeping mission in Bamako since 2013.
