At least 14 police officers of the ranks of Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Additional DIG and Superintendent of Police (SP) have been transferred to new posts.
The Home Ministry on Monday issued a circular in this regard, said Kamrul Ahsan, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Police Headquarters.
DIG of Police Headquarters Mohammad Nazibur Rahman has been transferred to Criminal Investigation Department (CID) while Barisal Metropolitan Police Commissioner (Current-charge) Shaibal Kanti Chowdhury will be replaced by M Lutfar Rahman Mondal, DIG Police Headquarters (Current-charge), as BMP-current charge.
Additional DIG of Special Branch (SB) has been transferred to the post of Additional DIG, Dhaka Range.
Superintendent of Police Habibur Rahman Khan and Hasan M Shawkat Ali, now reported to the Police Headquarters from Mission, have been transferred to BMP and Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) as Deputy Commissioners respectively.
SP Shamsun Nahar and M Munibur Rahman, now reported to the Police Headquarters from Mission, have been given charges of Special SP of CID and Commander of 2nd Armed Police Battalion (APBn) at Muktagachha, Mymensingh respectively.
Special SP of SB Farhad Ahmed has been posted to Thakurgaon as SP, while Thakurgaon SP Abdur Rahim Shah Chowdhury has been given the charge of SP of SB.
Shoeb Ahmad, Deputy Police Commissioner of BMP has been made SP Industrial Police, while Commander of 3rd APBn in Khulna Mohammad Harun-or-Rashid transferred to Commandant of Reserved Range Force (RRF) of Barisal.
Muhammad Shahidullah Chowdhury, Commandant of RRF, Barisal has been made commander of 3rd APBn, Khulna, while Deputy Police Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP)AKM Awlad Hossain, now reported to Police Headquarters from Mission, has been transferred to Industrial Police as SP.
