The ruling Awami League led 14- party alliance yesterday decided to send a delegation to the troubled torn Gaza in Palestine to convey sympathy to the family members of the victims of Israeli attacks during the last few days.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the alliance at the political office of Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Dhanmondi here. Emerging from the meeting, Spokesperson of the 14-party alliance Mohammad Nasim told journalists that the ministry of foreign affairs has been asked to take necessary measurers to this end
Nasim said, the attacks on the innocent Palestinians in Gaza can be dubbed as the most barbaric atrocities in human history. Such attacks must be stopped for the sake of humanity, he added.
In this connection, he urged the world community to raise their voice against the Israeli attacks in Gaza in which dozens of Palestinians including women and children are being killed every day.
Referring to Bangladesh’s victory in maritime boundary case with India, he said this has been achieved due to firm commitment and relentless efforts of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Workers’ Party President Rashed Khan Menon, JSD President Hasanul Haque Inu, Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbub Ul alam Hanif and Dr Dipu Moni, General Secretary of Sammabadi Dal Dilip Borua, Secretary General of Tariqat Federation M A Awal, General Secretary of Gano Azadi League S K Sikder, Awami League Organizing Secretary Ahmed Hossain, Office Secretary Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap and Deputy Office Secretary Mrinal Kanti Das attended the meeting.
