At least 14 more persons including a head teacher of a school were killed and several others critically injured in separate road crashes across the country last two days.
In Sunamganj, at least two persons were killed when a truck plunged into a ditch following breaking down of a bridge in Bishwamvarpur upazila of the district.
The accident took place at Ronbiddya area under Palash union around 12 pm on Thursday.
The details of the deceased couldn’t be known instantly.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Sunamganj Shafiul Alam confirmed the matter to media.
In Kishoreganj, at least two persons were killed when a tractor hit a bike in Karimganj upazila of Kishoreganj Wednesday night.
The deceased were identified as Md Khairul Islam, 27, and Md Somin Mia, residents of Dakshin Rajkanti village under Kishoreganj sadar upazila.
The accident took place in Malibari area of Karimganj around 9pm.
Karimganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Mojibur Rahman confirmed the matter. In Gazipur, a 32-year-old Engineer was killed when a train rammed him in Joydebpur Railway Junction area in Gazipur around 7am Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Momin Uddin, son of one Md Jahangir Hossain in Noagaon area of Sreepur upazila of Gazipur. Momin was a BSc engineer at Sheltech Pvt Ltd.
Joydebpur Railway Junction Station Master Md Shahjahan Mia told media.
In Rajshahi, a motorbiker was killed in a road accident at Kajla crossing in Rajshahi city on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Zahid Hossain, 35, son of late Abdur Razzak of Laxmipur area under Rajpara Police Station.
Motihar Police Station OC (Investigation) Mahbub Alam said the news media.
In Pirojpur, a college student named Abdullah Al Sani, 17, was killed in a motorbike accident at Borobiraljuri area under Kawkhali Upazila of the district on Thursday.
In Tangail, a female named Chaya, 60, was killed when a truck rammed her at Bhuiyanpur area of the district on Thursday.
In Rangpur, a head teacher of a primary school was killed in road accident in Mithapokor upazila of the district.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Majid Miah,52, head teacher of Fakirhat Government Primary School of Chanmari union of the Upazila.
Moazzem Hossain, In-charge of Boro Dargha Highway police told it media.
In Munshiganj, a motorcyclest named Dilip Rajbonshi, 40, was killed when a truck rammed him in Chinbari of Srinagar upazila of the district.
In Pabna, motorcyclist named Hridoy Hossain, 25, was killed in accident at Ratonpur area under Chatmohor upazila of the district.
In Khorigram, a pedestrian named Shamsul Haque, 55, was killed when a easy bike hit him in Rajarhat of the district.
In Noakhali, a helper of tracktor was killed when pickup van rammed him on the Boshorhat-Kabirhat Road under Companiganj upazila of the district on Thursday.
