A total of fourteen people were killed by road and train accidents in Dhaka, Tangail, Satkhira, Cox’s Bazar, Sherpur, Gopalganj, and Sylhet districts on Thursday.

None of the deceased could be identified, Golra Highway Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Alamgir Hossain told Banglanews.
Meanwhile, a female garment worker died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital after she was hit by a bus in city’s Mirpur-11 area.
The victim, identified as Jannat, 14, daughter of Ismail Hossen, hailed from Sardarpara village under Gosairhat upazila of Shariatpur.
In Tangail, two persons died at Tangail General Hospital after a head-on collision between two trucks in Chorvabla area of Kalihati upazila, officer-in-charge of Bangabandhu Bridge East Police Station, Mosharraf Hossain told Banglanews.
The deceased were identified as truck driver Ashiq Hasan, 25, son of Robiul Sarkar, hailed from Pachuria village of Chatmohar upazila of Pabna, and businessman Toybur Rahman, 50, from Kujirpukur area of Lalpur upazila of Natore.
Meanwhile, a 10-year-old child was crushed under a bus in Kurni area of Mirzapur upazila.
The victim was identified as Sagor, 10, son of Sajjad Hossen, hailed from Tarutia area under Tangail Sadar Upazila.
On the other hand, mother and son were killed in a train accident at Kumulli area of Kortia union under Tangail Sadar upazila.
The deceased were identified as Bristi Akther, 20, wife of Saudi Arabian immigrant Shahinul Islam, and her son Fahad.
In Satkhira, two persons, including a child, were killed in separate road accidents in Shyamnagar Upazila.
The deceased were identified as Ayesha Moni, daughter of Moizuddin Kazi, hailed from Sonakhali village, and Amber Mistri, son of son of late Fakir Mastari of Kashimari village.
