Bangladesh Navy detained 14 Indian fishermen on Sunday evening as they intruded into Bangladesh water in the Bay of Bengal.
The arrested fishermen with their trawler were handed over to the Mongla Thana police today.
Police said the Navy seized the trawler with the fishermen from Fairway Boya area of the Bay of Bengal when they were in their regular patrol with the ship BNS Meghna. ” Indian fishermen were illegally fishing in Bangladeshi water from a trawler named ‘ FB Kamili Kamini’.
