Bangladesh on Sunday reported 14 death and 1,273 people infected with coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
“With the new fatalities, the death toll reached 328 and the number of infections now stand at 22,268 with the new cases,” said Professor Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General (Administration) of DGHS, in a press briefing in Dhaka.
Dr. Sultana said, 256 Covid-19 patients recovered during the period and the total number of recovered patients reached to 4,372.
The death rate is 1.5 percent, according to the DGHS.
The country has been recording an increasing number of cases over the past few weeks. The first cases were announced on March 8 and the first death reported on March 18.
