Nearly 900 surgeons from home and abroad will gather in Dhaka as the 13th International Surgical Congress and SAARC Surgical Congress begins in the capital today (Saturday) with the theme “Inspiring Standard-Ensuring Quality”.
The Society of Surgeons of Bangladesh and the SAARC Surgical Care Society are jointly organizing the four-day congress at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC).
Health Minister Mohammad Nasim will attend the function as the chief guest, while Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) President Professor Mahmud Hasan and Secretary General Professor M Iqbal Arslan will be present as the special guest and the guest of honour respectively.
