13,851 more get Coved-19 vaccines in Rangpur

Thirteen thousand eight hundred and fifty one more citizens got first shot of Coved -19 vaccines today (Tuesday) raising the total number of vaccine recipients to 4,37,053 in Rangpur division.
 “The 13,851 citizens, who were inoculated with the Coved -19 vaccines today, include 6,991 male and 6,860 female,” Divisional Director (Health) Dr. Md. Ahad Ali told BSS today.
A total 4,37,053 citizens were inoculated so far with the Coved -19 vaccines including 2,71,205 male and 1,65,848 female of all eight districts in the division.
 “The vaccine recipients are feeling well with no side effects though 71 of them experienced adverse effects for a few minutes following vaccination since February 7 last in the division,” Dr. Ali said.
The district-wise break-up of total 4,37,053 vaccine recipients stands at 1,00,457 in Rangpur, 34,128 in Panchagarh, 61,430 in Nilphamari, 30,158 in Lalmonirhat, 37,024 in Kurigram, 41,419 in Thakurgaon, 87,787 in Dinajpur and 44,650 in Gaibandha.
Talking to BSS at Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RpMCH) vaccination centre today, a number of vaccine recipient citizens expressed satisfaction over excellent management for vaccinating registered citizens there in a hassle-free manner.
Civil Surgeon of Rangpur Dr. Herambo Kumar Roy said the Coved -19 vaccination campaign continues smoothly at sixteen booths set up at RpMCH and other eight upazila health complexes in the district since February 7 last.
Chief of Divisional Corona virus Service and Prevention Task Force and Principal of Rangpur Medical College Professor Dr. AKM Nurunnobi Lyzu expressed happiness over satisfaction of citizens while taking vaccines at government hospitals in the division.
He called upon everyone to seriously abide by the health safety guidelines and other rules, set by the government and wear face mask even after vaccination to contain the present rising trend of the Coved -19 infection
