One hundred and thirty-four new books arrived on the Amar Ekushey Book Fair on Tuesday, the 25th day of the fair.
Of them, 20 are story books, eight articles, 32 poems, 13 children books, one biography, three on War of Independence, three dramas, one on science, two on travel, three on medical science, one on computer, two on religion, three translations, 21 novels and 18 on other subjects.
Twenty-five books were also unveiled on the Nazrul Mancha on the Bangla Academy premises yesterday.

Discussion on “Abdus Shakur” was held in the main stage of the Fair yesterday. Dwijen Sharma presided over the programme while Mafidul Haque presented the keynote paper.
Karunamoy Goshwami, Mahbub Alam, Rashed Rauf and Ahmad Mazhar discussed at the programme.
A fascinating cultural festival was held with the participation of hundreds of visitors.
Discussion on “Biswa Oitiya Hishebe Jamdani” will be in the main podium of the fair today. Dr Niaz Zaman will preside over the discussion while Dr Firoz Mahmud will present the keynote paper. Rubi Gajnabi, Bibi Russell and Shaon Akand will be present as the discussants.
