One hundred and thirty new books arrived on Sunday, the 8th day of the Amar Ekushey Boi Mela.
Of the new books, 20 are storybooks, 23 novels, three essay books, 39 poems, five on research, four on children literature, one on Liberation War, one on drama, one on history, one on travel, one on translation and 34 others.
The new books arriving at the Boi Mela on Sunday were: Rabindranathe Sufiana by Sheikh Sadi, Computer Ovidhan by Mostafa Jobbar, Bodle Jan Ekoni by Tarique Haque, Rabindralok by Nasim Uddin Malikha, Amie Helen by Lutfan Nahar Rahman, Camerar Pechoner Manush by Akhter Jaman, Sobuj Danar Debodut by Jorna Rahman, Upannashtrayi by Saida Khanam, Muktijoddhader Mullayan o Prasonggik Kotha by Md Mujibur Rahman Bacchu, Bimurto Canvas by Babul Hossain, Wridoe Bangladesh by Saira Haque, Sheal Kumirer Chora by Taher Hossain, Meghla Akashe Roder Lukochuri Shukh by Imtiaz Sohag, Megh o Ruddur by Anwar Hossain, 11 second Swapna by Ekaki Tanvir, Roj Bikeler Bishonna Shomoe by Madhob Ray, Ekjon Aronya Ebong Ami by Narayan Ukil Biplob, Shukh Pakir Shondhane by Belal Hossain, Choray Choray Swadhinota by Tapan Joti Sarker, Pagol, Chagol o Gadha by Mostafa Kamal, Fera Hoy Na by Dipu Mahmud, Bristir Songsare Ami Keo Noi by Asad Chowdhury, Ognidagdha Ganotantro

Professor Borhanuddin Khan Jahangir presided over the function while Professor Nazrul Islam presented the keynote paper. Professor Syed Azizul Haque and Professor Nisar Hossain discussed there, among others. A fascinating cultural festival was held in the evening.
The discussion on “Parichad Mitrer Dishototomo Jonmosotobarsha” will be held in the main podium of the Bangla Academy today (Monday).
