13 rescued from traffickers’ clutches on Putkhali border

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) rescued 13 people, including nine women and two children, while they were being trafficked to India through Charermath on Putkhali border here on Friday night.
Acting on secret information, a team of BGB-23 battalion raided the area and rescued the 13 people and handed over them to Benapole Port Police Station, said BGB-23 Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Mostafizur Rahman.
All of the rescued hail from different parts of Narail and Gopalganj districts.
