13 more patients have died in the last 24 hours at the corona unit in Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH). Six of them died from coronavirus while seven others with the symptoms.
RMCH director Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani confirmed the information on Monday morning.
“From 8:00 am on Sunday (June 20) to 8:00 am on Monday (June 21), 13 people died in different wards of RMCH. Three of them were from Rajshahi, six from Chapainawabganj, three from Natore and one from Naogan,” he said.
Of the 13 people dead in the Corona unit, four were men and nine were women, he said, adding that most of them are aged between 35-60 years.
Meanwhile, 62 people have been admitted to RMCH in the last 24 hours while 34 have returned home after recovered from coronavirus. With the new patient, a total of 402 patients are now undergoing treatment in the 309-bed corona unit of the Hospital as of this morning.
