Gafargaon (Mymensingh) Correspondents :
As many as 13 candidates will vie for the post of chairman vice-chairman and vice-chairman reserved for women in Gafargaon Upazila Parishad election slated on March 31.
The candidates contesting for the post of chairman are :Ashraf Uddin Badal (AL supported), Md. Musfiqur Rahman (BNP), Hasna Hadi (BNP), Kabir Sarker (BNP), Shahana Sultana (Independent) and Moulana Ismail Hossain Sohel (Jamaat).
The vice-chairman candidates are Moniruzzaman (AL Supported), Abdullah Al-Mamun (BNP), Azimuddin (BNP), Abdul Kaium (BNP) and Mofazzal Ansari (Jamaat).
The aspirants for vice-chairman post reserved for women are: Rasma Akter (AL supported) and Tuhinur Sultana (BNP). In Gafargaon Upazila there are 2,92,136 voters.
