Chittagong Bureau :
Chittagong District police in a series of special drive arrested 123 listed accused from different upazilas of the district on Saturday night. In the drive about 150 liters of country made wine(cholai madh) also recovered during the drive.
In addition to upazila police nearly 200 additional police forces participated in the drives that were conducted in different parts of Lohagara and Fatickchari upazila . Additional Superintendents of police (ASP) of district Special Branch Naimul Islam said the arrestees were accused in different cases for a long time and most of them are absconders.
Couple held with yaba
Police rounded up one couple allegedly involved with the drug trafficking from Bakalia area in city yesterday morning.
Police recovered 1500 pieces of yaba from their possession. These couple was going to Dhaka alongwith yaba through Chittagong from Coxsbazar.
