Detective Branch (DB) of Police in a drive seized at least 1,20,000 pieces of Yaba tablets in city’s Demra area on Sunday night.
The law enforcers arrested two persons in this connection.
The arrested men were identified as Ayub Ali and Hossain Ahmed. Police also seized a microbus from their possession.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Deputy Commissioner Masudur Rahman said that a team of detectives conducted a drive in the area based on secret information and arrested them.
The arrested men are being interrogated in this connection, the police official said.
A case had been filed over the incident, the DC said.
