A total of twelve students of different departments under the Rajshahi University (RU) Arts Faculty received Dean’s Award for their outstanding results in BA honours examination in 2016.
RU vice chancellor Prof M Abuds Sobhan handed over the awards among the awardees as chief guest at an award giving ceremony held at the conference room of the university deans’ complex.
Among others, RU Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Ananda Kumar Saha and Proctor Prof Lutfar Rahman addressed the award giving ceremony as special guest with the faculty dean Prof FAAH Taqui in the chair.
The awardees are- Shima Khatun of Philosophy Department, Syed Naimur Rahman Shohel of History, Irtifa Hasan of English, Monju Rani Das of Bangla, Jannati Kownain Keya of Islamic History and Culture, Mohammad Abul Futuh of Arabic, Md Asraful Islam of Islamic Studies, Joysree Pal of Music, Jint Ara Gulsana Marzia of Theatre, Kabita Aktar of Persian, Nazrina Aktar of Sanskrit and Nur Mohammad of Urdu Department.
