The Navy personnel rescued 12 crew members after two lighter ships carrying clinkers sunk in the Bay of Bengal in rough weather.
The two vessels of Abul Khair Group – MV Titu 18 and MV Titu 19 – capsized at Thengar Char near Kutubdia on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Bangladesh Navy and Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority or BIWTA.
