Benapole customs authority honored 12 helpless freedom fighters on the occasion of the Victory Day at Customs House auditorium on yesterday night.
Customs Commissioner Belal Hossain Chowdhury handed over the certificate and money to the freedom fighters. Additional Commissioner of Customs Zakir Hossain presided over the meeting. The special guest was special sector expert, World Bank Group Hossain Ferdous Sumi and freedom fighter commander Shah Alam.
Customs officials, leaders of different organizations of the land port users were presents the festive celebration. Joint Commissioner of Customs Shahidul Islam, Benapole C & F Agents Association president Mofizur Rahman Sajon, former president Alhaj Shamsur Rahman and general secretary Emdadul Haq Lata spoke on the importance of liberation war and freedom fighters.
