The 11th reunion of Dhaka University Philosophy Department Alumni Association (DUPDAA) was held on the campus on Friday. The day-long programme included cultural programmes, reading obituary notes of renowned persons and unveiling souvenir, organised by the association was held at the auditorium of university’s Teacher-Student Centre (TSC), said a press release.
Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the programme as the chief guest with Chairman of the Department and association’s President Prof Dr M Shajahan Mia in the chair.
A total of seven former professors of the department were distributed honorary special awards for their outstanding contribution to the Department, the release added.
DU Alumni Association President AK Azad, renowned Philosopher Dr Aminul Islam and General Secretary of the association Mahfuza Rahman Chowdhury Babli were present, among others.
