Bangladesh Awami League nominated candidate Bangataj daughter Simin Hossain Rimi submitted the nomination form Gazipur-4 (Kapasia) for the ruling party in the Jatiya Sangsad election. She submitted the form to the Assistant Returning Officer’s office on Monday..
Assistant Returning Officer and UNO Mossa Ismat Ara, Upazila Election Officer Mohammad Humayun Kabir, Family Planning Officer Abdur Rahim took the nomination form.
At this time, Rimi’s sister Sharmin Ahmed Ripi, Mahzabin Ahmad Mimi, husband Mostak Hossain, son Rakib Hossain, Advisor to the upazila Awami League, veteran teacher Abdul Kabir, Upazila Awami League president Mohammad Shahidullah, Vice Chairman of the upazila council Adv Rezaur Rahman Laskar Mithu were present.
Earlier in the morning, Milad and Doa Mahfil were held by the party leaders and family members of Awami League leader Khaled Khurram in the bus Stand area.
Besides, candidate of Islamist regime movement candidate Nurul Islam Sarkar submitted the nomination form to the Gazipur Returning Officer’s office.

The candidates who got nomination of Bangladesh Awami League for Gazipur five constituencies are – Gazipur District Awami League President -AKM Mozammel Haque for Gazipur-1 constituency, Zahid Ahsan Rasel for Gazipur- 2 seat, General Secretary, Gazipur District Awami League General Secretary Mohammad Iqbal Hossain Sobuj got the nomination from Gazipur -3 constituency, Simin Hossain Rimi from Gazipur -4 constituency and Meher Afroz Chumki from Gazipur-5 seat.
AL nominates Momen, Samad, Imran, Hafiz Mozumdar, Nahid for 5
seats in Sylhet

Bangladesh Awami League nominated Dr AK Momen, Mahmud Us Samad, Imran, Hafiz Mozumdar, Nahid for contesting the forthcoming general election from the five parliamentary seats in Sylhet.
The ruling Awami League has picked AK Abdul Momen, brother of Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, for contesting the 11th parliamentary polls from Sylhet-1 constituency.
Muhith was elected from the same constituency for three consecutive terms.
Awami League has chosen Momen as the Finance Minister has expressed his desire to retire from politics.
There has been a myth centering the constituency that the party which wins the seat forms the government.
Momen was appointed the Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the United Nations in New York in August 2009.
He served as the president of the UNICEF executive board at international level in 2010. He was the vice president and the acting president of the 67th United Nations General Assembly.
He was also the president of the United Nations High-Level Committee on South-South Cooperation in 2014.
Bangladesh Nationalist Party dominated Jatiya Oikya Front may field former ambassador Enam Ahmed Chowdhury for contesting polls against Abdul Momen from this constituency.
Dr A K Momen, expressed his deep gratitude to Prime Minister and AL President Sheikh Hasina for nominating him for the election.
“I was waiting for the nomination and Awami League chief Sheikh Hasina has finally nominated me. I am peppering for the election battle taking all the leaders and workers together.”
Former AL lawmaker from Muhammad Mahmud Us Samad Chowdhury also received the nomination letter from the Awami League for the Sylhet-3 parliamentary seat.
In his reaction, Mahmud Us Samad expressed his hope for winning the election. For the Sylhet-04 constituency, the ruling party has kept its trust in the current MP and District AL Vice President Imran Ahmed. He expressed his happiness for nominating him.
Former AL lawmaker and Former Chairman of Pubali Bank Ltd Hafiz Ahmed Mozumdar, also received the nomination letter from the Awami League for the Sylhet-5 parliamentary seat.
Former AL lawmaker and Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid also received the nomination letter from the Awami League for the Sylhet-6 parliamentary seat.
