The 11th death anniversary of Quamrul Islam Siddique, former chief engineer of Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) was observed in the capital yesterday , says a press release.
On the occasion, a Milad and Doa Mahfil was held seeking divine peace for the departed soul was held LGED Headquarters, Agargaon in the city. He played a vital role to make the LGED dynamic and he is considered as innovator of rural development . .
Quamrul was born on January 20, 1945 in Kushtia. He graduated in civil engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) in 1966. He died in 2008 in New Jersey, USA.
