The 11th Annual General Meeting of Maksons Spinning Mills Limited (MSML) was held on Thursday in the city.
Chaired by the Chairman Dr. Jamal Uddin Ahmed (current charge) of the company, all the Members of the Board of Directors and respective Shareholders were present at the meeting.
Mohammad Ali Khokon, Managing Director, MSML replied to all the quarries made by the Shareholders.
During the meeting, shareholders gave valuable suggestions for well being of the company.
The Chairman (current charge), along with the other Directors showed gratitude to the Shareholders for their kind support and suggestions and expressed their future expectations from them for the Company to expand and flourish.
For the Financial Year 2014-2015, the Board of Directors did not recommend any dividend, which has been unanimously approved by the Shareholders at the AGM.
In the Meeting the Audited Annual Accounts along with Director’s Report were passed and approved by Shareholders. Dr. Jamal Uddin Ahmed was elected by shareholders as Chairman of the Company for 1 term e.g. until the next AGM of the company.
Two Directors, namely Mohd. Amzad Ali and Laila Ali had retired by rotation as per Company Act 1994, and were subsequently re-elected with Shareholders approval.
During the Financial Year 2014-2015, the Company had achieved a total turnover of Tk. 1.64 billion net profit before tax of Tk. 87 million, Net Profit after tax of Tk. 62.5 million.
