A total of 113 police personnel detected positive for Covid-19 across the country since Saturday, Bangladesh Police Headquarters data said.
With the new cases, the total number of infected policemen reached 854.
Besides, five infected police personnel have died so far.
Among the new cases, 93 have been confirmed by Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
The data shows also that 315 police personnel are sent to isolation after found Covid-19 like symptoms, besides, 1,250 others, who were in close contacts with the infected persons, are put in quarantine.
About 200000 members of police have been discharging their duties to ensure safety of people amid the coronavirus outbreak in the country.
