Sultan Muhammed Monsur Ahmed MP has inspected the house building activities for the landless and homeless people gifted by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the occasion of Mujib Year in Bhatera Union of Kulaura Upazila recently. He inspected the construction work at Islampur village in Bhatera union.
Principal AKM Shafi Ahmed Solman, Chairman of Kulaura Upazila Parishad and senior vice-president of Upazila Awami League, ATM Farhad Chowdhury, Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Swajal Mollah, Assistant Commissioner (Land), Binoy Bhushan Roy, Officer-in-Charge of Kulaura Police Station, Aminul Islam Mridha, Upazila Engineer, Shimul Ali, Upazila Project Implementation Officer, Syed AKM Nazrul Islam Bhatera UP Chairman, M. Sakil Rashid Chowdury, Prasident Kulaura Press Club, Social worker Husen Monsur, Shofikul Islam Zahed, Zamil Ahmed Mohon, Shakh Ruhel Ahmed, AKM Jaber and other local dignitaries were present.
According to the Upazila Project Implementation Office, out of 113 houses in the third phase under the Asrayan project, 60 houses are under construction in the first phase. Of these, 26 houses are in Vatera Union, 12 in Hajipur Union, 21 in Prithimpasha Union and 1 in Brahmanbazar Union. The remaining work of the 60 houses will start soon. Earlier, houses were provided to 210 homeless families in the first and second phase in 13 unions and 1 municipality of the upazila.
Talking to media persons after the visit, Sultan Muhammed Monsur Ahmed MP said that not a single person of the country will be homeless in Mujib Year. In order to implement the directives of the Prime Minister, all the landless and homeless families of the country are being provided land and houses. Following this, I visited the houses built at Bhatera in Kulaura and saw that the house work was going very well and beautifully. I have tried to give the best quality of materials keeping the design of the house work right. Because the houses of the Asrayan project had the highest emotion of the Hon’ble Prime Minister.
He said he is hopeful that the houses will be distributed among all the landless people in the district within this year on the occasion of Mujib Year. Upazila Administration as well as local people’s representatives is playing an active role in the implementation of this work.
