Mobile court of Chittagong Port Authority(CPA) imposed penalty of Tk.2.30 lakh to 11 vessels in Chittagong port channel on different reasons of haphazard berthing , overloading and lack of proper documents of masters and drivers and absence of security equipments on Thursday.
CPA Excutive Magistrate Abul Hashem conducted the mobile court accompanied by metro police and port security personnels.
Mobile court sources said the convicted vessels are – MV Ibrahim, MV Ridyaa, MV Zerin, MV Banglar Ubarshi, MV Shiam Khan, FV Surabi, MV Barsha, MV Rajesh, FV Fateha, MV Gopal. An amount of tk.1.49 lakh realized instantly from these vessels, sources said.
