11 vehicles torched, 4 drivers, helpers suffer burn injuries

Miscreants set afire at least 11 vehicles in different parts of the country, including Dhaka, Panchagarh and Moulvibazar on Wednesday.
In Dhaka, miscreants torched three buses and one truck at Jurain, Jatrabari, Syedabad and Rampura on the fourth consecutive day of the 120-hour countrywide hartal enforced by the BNP and its allies.
Of them, a passenger bus was set on fire at Jurine at 6:40pm, while another bus was fired at Golapbagh near Jatrabari around 7pm. Besides, the unidentified miscreants set fire on a bus in front of the Sayedabad
Police Outpost at 6pm and the pro-hartal activists torched a goods laden truck after a procession at Rampura.
They also blasted several cocktails there. None was hurt in the incident.
Apart from it, the miscreants set fire on a bus at Boliapur area of Savar at about 7:00pm.
Our Panchagarh correspondent said, a bus and a truck were torched which injured four people as they were rushing to get down from the vehicles.
A group of miscreants torched the bus of Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation along with a truck which were parked at a field in Bokdurjhula Bazar area of Boda upazila of the district around 4:00am.
The miscreants vandalised and set afire the bus while the driver Al-Amin, 35, and helper Lalon, 30, were still sleeping in the bus, reports our Thakurgaon correspondent.
On the other hand, the truck driver Sumon, 24, and owner of the truck Shawkat, 48, were also asleep inside the truck, during the attack.
Our Moulvibazar correspondent said, miscreants set fire to a bus in Bhobanigaon bus stand area of Juri Upazila around 3:30am with no report of any casualty in the incident, reports our Moulvibazar correspondent.
Our Dinajpur Correspondent said two persons were injured when unidentified miscreants hurled petrol bombs on a coal-laden truck earlier in the morning.
In Moulavibazar, the miscreants set fire on a bus pouring petrol at Juri upzila in the early hours of Wednesday.
In Senbagh of Noakhali, the blockade supporters set fire on a truck at 7:00am yesterday injuring its driver seriously.
