UNB, Barguna :
Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard in a drive arrested 11 alleged pirates along with a trawler, four machetes, three choppers and two knives from Laldighi Char in Patharghata upazila on Monday morning.
The identity of the arrestees could not be known immediately.
Coast Guard sources said on secret information, they conducted a drive in the area and arrested the 11 pirates at about 7:00 am.
They also recovered a trawler, four machetes, three choppers and two knives from the arrestees’ possession.
The arrestees were handed over to Patharghata Police Station.
A case was filed against them.
