Mobile court of Chittagong Port Authority(CPA) led by executive magistrate Abul Hashem convicted 11 marine vessels with penalty of Tk.3 lakh at Chittagong outer berth .
These penalty executed against these vessels for creating obstructions in port channel, lack of licenses to masters and drivers, lack of update survey certificates and flying permission, bay crossing permission, pollution in channel and lack of safety equipments and excess loading, port sources said.
Port magistrate Abul Hashem told that the mobile court was conducted as per Inland Water Transport Act-1976 . The convicted vessels are MV Tasnuva-1, MV Atpara, MV Barshan-2, MV Udayer Path, MV T Deya, MV Al Noor, MV Chivu Pacific, MV Amman, MV Titu-1 . Mobile court realised total penalty of Tk.3 lakhs, sources added.
