Chattogram Metro Police and District Police rounded up 11 persons allegedly accused in different cases in separate raids.
Chattogram District Police arrested five alleged criminals with arms and cartridges from Fatehabad area under Hathazari upazila of the district on Sunday .Hathazari thana police acting on secret informations, conducted raid in south Pahartali village under Fatehabad union managedto apprehend five criminals including top terror Sumon(35) in the late night of Sunday .
Police recovered 3 LG and 7 round catridges from their possession. The arrested include 3 siblings of Sumon and two other accomplices. Terror Sumon in the son of Late Mujibul Hoqueof the same village District police sources said . Sumon allegedly accused in a murder case along with his accomplices.
District police arrested two persons with seven guns and two cartridges from Saral village under Banskhali upazila of the district on Friday night.
The arrested were identified as Omar Mayda, 45, and Mohammad Ali,50, both hailed from Saral village under Banskhali upazila of the district.
Additional Superintendent of district police Mohiuddin Mahmud Sohel in a press briefing said, being informed, police arrested them with the guns from Saral village under Banskhali upazila around 2 am.Several murder and dacoity cases were pending against them with different police stations.Another case was filed against them under the Arms Act today, the ASP added.
Beside Chatstogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) in a drive arrested four alleged members of a dope gang commonly known as ‘Agyan Party’ from city’s rail station area under Kotwali thana on Friday morning.
The arrested were identified as Rafique Mia Babul, 50, Mohammad Monir, 35, Mehedi Hasan, 28, and Mohammad Shahab Uddin, 30. All of them are residents of Chattogram district.
Several murder and dacoity cases were pending against them with different police stations.
Another case was filed against them under the Arms Act today, the ASP added.
