11 including 3 motor cyclists killed in road crashes

Reckless driving continues on the streets and death procession is becoming larger just ahead of Eid Journey. At least 11 persons including three motorcyclists in Chattogram were killed and 40 others seriously injured in separate road crashes in five districts of the country on Monday.
In Chattogram, at least three motorcyclists were killed after the motorbike crashed against a truck on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in Mirsharai upazila on Saturday night.
The deceased were identified as Rakibul Islam, 18, son of one Abdul Mannan from Borotakia area, Md Rifat, 22, son of Mahbubul Haque from Chhagolnaiya upazila, and Tarek Hossain, 21, son of Safiul Alam, from Khoiyachhara area of Feni district.
Nurul Alam, Sub-Inspector of Mirsharai Police Station, said that the accident occurred around 9pm when the speeding motorcycle crashed a stationary against truck in Duckbanglow area, leaving two motorcyclists dead on the spot and one critically injured died on the way to hospital.
In Cox’s Bazar, at least two persons were killed and 12 others were seriously injured in a face to face collision between a bus and microbus at Dulafir Majar under Sadar upazila of the district on Saturday.
Among the deceased, one was identified as driver Md Yakub, 27, son of one Yusuf from Kalatoli Adarsha Uttar village in the upazila.
Farid Uddin, Officer-in-Charge of Cox’s Bazar Model Police Station confirmed the news to the media.
In Chapainawabganj, a motorcyclist named Sahadath Hossain, 17, was killed when a truck rammed him in Nachol upazila of the district on Sunday.
Officer-in-Charge of Nachol Police Station told the matter to the media.
In Dhaka, a pedestrian aged, 50, was killed in road accident in Saydabad of the capital city on Sunday morning.

In Sylhet, at least two persons were killed in separate road crashes of the district.
The deceased were identified as Moinul Islam from Gopalganj and Alamgir Hossain from Sreemongal.
