UNB, Bhola :
Eleven fishermen went missing as a trawler capsized in the Bay of Bengal in southern part of the district on Sunday evening.
The trawler carrying 18 fishermen sank in the Bay while they were fishing in Challish Pani area under Daulatkhan upazila around 7 pm during bad weather, said officer-in-charge of Daulatkhan Police Station Meer Khairul Kabir.
He said seven of the fishermen were rescued by fellowmen in a nearby trawler.
Upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) Mustafizur Raman said a search operation aided by the fishermen of the trawler was going on to rescue the missing people.
