A court in Chittagong convicted 11 pirates alleged involved with the fishing trawler dacoity with 17 years imprisonment each .
The dacoits committed dacoity in the trawler at sadarghat area of karnaphuli river on February 11 of 2006.The convicted are Abdul Kaleque, Abul Kalam, Nesar Ahmed, Selimullah, Osman Gani, Md. Sharif, Alam, Salamat, Azizul and Mizan. Abdul Kaleque and Abul Kalam was present in court when the verdict was announced in the court and the remaining 9 now absconding after getting bail earlier. 4th Metropolitan Joint Session Judge Nure Alam announced this verdict on Thursday evening , sources said.
Court ordered to send Kaleque and Abul Kalam to jail custody immediately.
