11 Bangladesh cricketers in England’s ‘The Hundred’ draft

A total of 11 Bangladeshi cricketers, including Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal enlisted their name for the draft of ‘The Hundred’ tournament organised by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).
The players draft will be held on October 20.
The Hundred is the 100-ball competition, which will be played in July-August 2020. It will be played by eight new teams, based in seven different cities of England and Wales (there are two London teams).
Shakib Al Hasan, Mohammad Mithun, Mohammad Saifuddin, Mustafizur Rahman, Mushfiqur Rahim and Tamim Iqbal had earlier registered their name. As per the full list of the draft revealed by the ECB on Tuesday, it was seen that Mahmudullah Riyad, Imrul Kayes, Liton Das, Taskin Ahmed and Abu Haider Rony also registered their name.
Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal set their base price for £100,000. Mustafizur Rahman’s base price is £75,000 while the base price of Liton Das, Mushfiqur Rahim and Imrul Kayes is £40,000. Mahmudullah, Saifuddin, Mithun, Taskin, and Rony opted not to set their base price.
The highest base price of the tournament is £125,000 for only six cricketers- Chris Gayle, Steven Smith, David Warner, Kagiso Rabada, Lasith Malinga and Mitchell Starc.
Many of the big overseas names in the draft have opted for a base price of £100,000 or more and it means they will have to be picked in the first four rounds if at all.
Those without a base price that can hope to be picked up relatively early in the draft and they could go for as little as £30,000.
