Customs intelligence seized 72 gold bars weighing 10 kilograms from a passenger of Emirates Airlines flight at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital on Monday.
The officials detained the passenger, Mozahar Uddin, after EK-0584 from Dubai landed at the airport around 7:50pm, an official of custom intelligence at the airport, told The New Nation.
While searching, the customs officials found the gold bars worth around Tk 3.7 crore from near the custom hall, he said. Mozahar, hailed from Munshiganj, was later handed over to police, the official added
