Two cases have been filed against some 104 leaders and activists of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) and Jatiyatabadi Swechchhasebak Dal in connection with the arson attacks on the houses and vehicles of two JCD leaders following the killing of a fellow man.
Shah Zaman, officer-in-charge of Airport Police Station, said brother of Mahbub Kadir Shahi, senior vice-president of city JCD, filed a case against 77 people with Airport Police Station on Tuesday night.
Vice-president of central JCD Abdul Ahad Khan Jamal and joint convener of district unit of Swechchhasebak Dal Jakir Hossain were among the accused.
