In recognition of bravery and gallantry service, 102 police officers and personnel will be awarded medals for rendering gallantry and bravery services.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to hand over the awards to them in a programme on the occasion of the Police Week-2016 on January 26.
The medals will be given on four categories. The Police Headquarters source have informed that a list has already been made final.
The source informed that, 19 police personnel will receive ‘Bangladesh Police Medal (BPM) for gallantry and bravery services, while 23 police officers will be handed ‘Bangladesh Police Medal (Service) in recognition of handling successfully important mysterious cases, crime control and for commendable contribution with skill, integrity and disciplinary behaviour.
