Rajshahi University (RU) authority has increased total number of seats for admission in the undergraduate courses under the academic session 2014-15.
The number of seats has been increased in terms of application in some departments with new two departments. The total number of seats is now stands at 3 thousand and 828 in the first year honors courses. Last year, total 3 thousand and 727 students had the opportunity to be admitted in the first year.
Deputy Registrar of the University Admission Committee, AHM Aslam Hossain said that on Wednesday. He said, new two departments have been introduced this year.
30 students will be admitted in the International Relations Department and 40 students will be admitted in the Banking and Insurance department.
In addition, 6 seats for Crop Science and Technology department under the Faculty of Agriculture; 6 for Agronomy department, 5 for the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science department, 8 for the Zoology department, 3 for the language department, and one seat has been increased for the Geography and Environment, Psychology, Information and Communication department.
The Admission test of RU will begin from October 19, 2014 which will continue till October 25, 2014.
