All government accounts offices including offices of the Chief Accounts and Finance Officer, Divisional Controller of Accounts, District Accounts and Finance Officer as well as Upazilla Accounts Officers are now brought under full coverage of the Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) system.
This ensures that government employees do not need to come to the accounts offices to submit their bills. They can do it electronically from online platform and if accurate they will get their respective bank accounts credited through the EFT.
So far this service was available at all divisional headquarters only. From now onwards, this system is in vogue across the country including all District and all Upazilla Accounts offices also.
This process was guided by Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of Bangladesh Mohammad Muslim Chowdhury and was countrywide implementation was supervised by Controller General of Accounts (CGA) Md Jahurul Islam.
