An important virtual meeting of the top leaders of the Committee for Implementation of 100% Festival Allowance was held recently. The virtual meeting held under the chairmanship of Jasim Uddin Ahmed, convener of 100% Festival Allowance Implementation Committee and Secretary General of Bangladesh Shikkhak Samity and Delwar Hossain Azizi, member secretary of the committee and vice president of Bangladesh Madrasa Teachers-Employees Forum.
In order to provide 100% festival allowance to the teachers, it was demanded to issue notification of 100% festival allowance quickly.
The meeting unanimously decided to include three new organizations in the alliance with a view to expanding the 100 per cent Festival Allowance Implementation Committee. The organizations are Bangladesh
Vocational Teachers Association, Bangladesh Library and Information Science Teachers Association and Bonchito Shikkhak Porishad.
The meeting decided to step up diplomatic efforts to expedite the issuance of 100 per cent festival allowance notification due to the strict lockdown imposed by the government.
Among others present at the meeting were Md. Mainuddin, Principal Adviser of the Alliance and President of Bangladesh Non Goverment Teachers-Employees Forum, Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, Advisor to the Alliance and Secretary General of Bangladesh Non Goverment Teachers-Employees Forum, Yusuf Ali Mia Shamim, President, Bangladesh Secondary Technical Teachers Council.
